If a site location that is using Aloha, and attempting to run the installer, but the PunchhConf.exe is unable to keep the window open to configure the settings, here are the following troubleshooting steps and how to run a silent install:
-
Rerun the Punchhconf.exe (as admin) and see if it populates the correct store number and API key for that store number - if it does - save - test.
-
If the Punchhconf.exe does NOT run as intended, we can run the punchhconf.exe silently … and ONLY if the Punchhconf.exe does not run (i.e. flashes and closes) do the following:
-
Navigate to the Punchh folder on C-Drive under Program Files (x86).
-
Open a command prompt (run as admin)
-
Type the following in the cmd prompt:
punchhConf.exe -silent -store=xxx (xxx should be the store number you're trying to install)
-
Hit enter.
-
Nothing will appear after this, but the settings for the site should download.
You can check to see if this downloaded successfully by verifying in the Punchh.cfg file.
