Depending on the Settings of your Birthday campaign, guests that signup for the Loyalty Program on the same day of their birthday will not always receive the Birthday Reward after sign up.
These settings will be found in Section 2 (Whom) of an Anniversary Campaign Configuration
- If the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? setting is enabled and the Lifespan Duration Function is set to Month of Reference Date, Guests that sign up on the same day as their birthday will be awarded the Birthday Reward shortly after sign up, regardless of Anniversary Schedule (found under Support > Schedules)
- If the guest did not sign up on their birthday, please review this article to see if and when the guest will be rewarded:
Why did a Guest that signed up this month not receive a birthday reward?
The following examples specifically review the situation where a guest signs up on the same day as their birthday:
- If the Lifespan Duration Function setting is set to:
- Month of Reference Date
- the system will look at the Reference Date on Guest setting (Birthday, Half Birthday, etc.)
- when gifted the reward, the Guest must redeem the gift by End of Day the last day of the month
- This means if a guest signs up on the last day of the month and qualifies for the reward, they will only have a few hours to use the reward

- If a Guest signs up on the first of the month
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is checked they will received the Birthday Reward shortly after sign up
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is NOT checked it then depends on the time of day you have your Anniversary Campaign Schedule set up (found under Support > Schedules)
- i.e. your Anniversary Campaign Schedule is set to run Daily on the 15th hour of the day (3PM)
- Guest signs up anytime before 3PM they will receive the reward at 3PM when the schedule runs
- Guest signs up anytime after 3PM they will NOT receive the reward that day as the schedule already ran and will have to wait until next year
- If a Guest signs up on any other day than the first of the month
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is checked they will received the Birthday Reward shortly after sign up
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is NOT checked they will NOT receive the reward as the reward was already gifted on the 1st and will have to wait until next year
- Week of Reference Date
- the system counts the first day of the Week as Monday
- when gifted the reward, the Guest must redeem the gift by End of Day Sunday
- If a Guest has a birthday that is on a Monday and signs up that day, take for example 11/29 (Monday - first day of the week)
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is checked, it then depends on the time of day you have your Anniversary Campaign Schedule set up (found under Support > Schedules)
- i.e. your Anniversary Campaign Schedule is set to run Daily on the 15th hour of the day (3PM)
- Guest signs up anytime before 3PM - they will receive the reward at 3PM when the schedule runs
- Guest signs up anytime after 3PM - they will NOT receive the reward that day as the schedule already ran and will have to wait until next year. In this scenario the Week of Reference Date setting takes precedence.
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is NOT checked, it then depends on the time of day you have your Anniversary Campaign Schedule set up (found under Support > Schedules)
- i.e. your Anniversary Campaign Schedule is set to run Daily on the 15th hour of the day (3PM)
- Guest signs anytime before 3PM, they will receive the reward at 3PM when the schedule runs
- Guest signs up at 4PM - they will NOT receive the reward that day as the schedule already ran and will have to wait until next year
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is checked, it then depends on the time of day you have your Anniversary Campaign Schedule set up (found under Support > Schedules)
- Guest's birthday is any day other than Monday
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is checked, they will NOT receive the reward that day as the schedule already ran on Monday 11/29 and will have to wait until next year. In this scenario the Week of Reference Date setting takes precedence.
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is NOT checked, they will NOT receive the reward that day as the schedule already ran on Monday 11/29 and will have to wait until next year
- the system counts the first day of the Week as Monday
- N Days from rewarding
- Ex: Days before is set to reward 5 days before their birthday
- Guest's birthday is 12/20 and signs up the same day
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is checked whether or not they would have received the Birthday Reward shortly after sign up depends on the time of day you have your Anniversary Campaign Schedule set up (found under Support > Schedules)
- i.e. your Anniversary Campaign Schedule is set to run Daily on the 15th hour of the day (3PM)
- Guest signs anytime before 3PM, they will receive the reward at 3PM when the schedule runs
- Guest signs up at 4PM - they will NOT receive the reward that day as the schedule already ran and will have to wait until next year
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is NOT checked, they will NOT receive the rewards as those with a 12/20 birthday were gifted already on 12/16, so they will have to wait until next year
- IF the Should the above reward be given in the month of signup? box is checked whether or not they would have received the Birthday Reward shortly after sign up depends on the time of day you have your Anniversary Campaign Schedule set up (found under Support > Schedules)
- Month of Reference Date
