When a user selects an email template to be part of a campaign, a "duplicate" email template is assigned to the campaign.
In order to make changes to the email template in the campaign, the changes need to be made in the email editor inside the campaign.
If you are trying to make those changes editing in the email template itself (outside of the campaign), then those changes will not get saved to the "duplicate" in the campaign.
