Note: This is specific to brands OR specific locations using Brink as their POS (Point Of Sale) system
If while investigating guest complaints about receiving "Invalid Barcode" errors when scanning barcodes into the app from a specific location, there can be multiple Checksum errors on the guest's timelines as seen below:
This might be caused by a mismatch in the barcode algorithm used to create barcodes at the affected locations. To resolve this, please check the location's barcode algorithm settings under Settings > Locations > POS > POS Type and make sure the POS Type is set to Brink
