Google Food Ordering allows guests to order food from a restaurant right from Google Search or Maps. It is a feature offered through OLO online ordering service.
When a location receives a Google Food order, the order will follow the same injection path as OLO orders in Aloha. Locations will have to create unique Order Modes/Revenue Centers in Aloha to allow for proper reporting and the ability to distinguish Google Orders from other OLO order modes.
A caveat of this integration is that guests will not be able to earn points directly in their Google Order, since Google Orders will originate from a Google URL and guests would not be able to sign in with their Punchh Loyalty account. A workaround to this caveat is to ensure that Aloha prints barcodes in Google Order receipts, so guests can scan the barcodes in their app and earn points for their order.
