This scenario occurs when there is a delay in sending out the receipt details from POS to Punchh, which results in the blank entry on the guest timeline.
As the guest did not earn any points due to the above-stated situation, when they try to scan the receipt again, they will be presented the Receipt Reuse error, which is expected functionality.
In such situations, It is advised to manually gift the points to the guest as he/she did not receive it and will not be receiving it unless done manually.
