There is a business-wide option in Punchh, "Allow to initiate checkin after redemption code is processed (via POS)", that will enable or disable the ability of guests to automatically checkin when they make a redemption at the POS. When this option is disabled, guests will need to scan the barcode printed on the receipt to earn after redeeming their reward at the POS. When enabled, guests will automatically get a checkin after their redemption at the POS.
This option is located in Cockpit, and only Punchh admins have access to this option. Reach out to your CSM (Customer Success Manager) to enable/disable this option for your brand. Note that whether this option can be enabled will depend on the POS integration, as not all POS integrations support this feature.
