When a guest is deactivated, the prefix "deactivated-" is added to their account so it'll appear like so: "email@example.com". This allows the Guest to create a new account with their original email. If you try to deactivate their new account, you'll get an error because it tries to create a second "firstname.lastname@example.org" email address, which isn't possible.
If the Guest is suspected of fraudulent activity such as abusing a loyalty program, we recommend banning the Guest. This will ensure they can't create another account with the same email address.
