Custom List Segments allow you to target specific guests by importing a static list of guest emails. You can manually type the guest emails within the Custom List segment, or you can import a large list of emails using a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file. Why are guest emails from CSV file not loading while creating a Custom List segment?
Verify that the CSV file is formatted correctly:
- File should have only one column containing the list of email addresses
- The first row in the file should contain the column header "Email"
- File should have extension .csv . For example: guestEmails.csv
- File should contain plain ASCII text characters. Any characters that are not plain ASCII characters will be displayed as "?" if the file is opened in Excel, or as a completely different font if the file is opened in Notepad. Any non-ASCII characters in the file will prevent the CSV file from being processed by Punchh. Examples of non-ASCII characters:
