Introduction
The Workflow Management feature allows admin users to approve pending campaigns from other franchise users. With this feature enabled, a franchisee can create a campaign and submit it for approval, then an admin user can review the campaign and can either approve or deny it. My brand has Workflow Management enabled. Why are franchisees still able to activate Coupon campaigns without approval?
The Workflow Management feature applies only to campaigns that can send messages/notifications to any guest Segment, i.e. Mass Notification campaigns. Workflow Management does not apply to Coupon/Promo campaigns because these types of campaigns don't send any notifications to any guest. Franchisees have the ability to create Coupon/Promo campaigns and set them as Active, but this doesn't mean that any guest will be notified about this campaign. Coupon/Promo campaigns have to be attached to other campaigns, i.e. Mass Notification campaigns, in order for the coupons to arrive to any guest Segment. Therefore, Mass Notification campaigns with Coupon/Promo campaigns attached WILL require submission for approval, but Coupon/Promo campaigns by themselves WILL NOT require approval.
