An "Execution Delay" is a parameter that can be configured when creating or editing a campaign. This will determine a set length of time after the campaign is triggered, before it processes and checks to see if the guest falls into the proper segment.
When a guest initially signs up, it can take some time for the guest information to be stored in Punchh and for them to be captured by the Guest Profile Based segment. By setting an execution delay on the campaign, you reduce the risk of some guests not being sent the offer.
*As a best practice, we suggest setting the execution delay to 5 minutes. This is especially important when multiple campaigns are set up to trigger and gift, or award points simultaneously for the same guest.
Execution delay settings can be found under Campaign > Edit Campaigns > Step 3 "When"
