When viewing email events in the Sendgrid activity logs, you may come across a "bounce" event as seen below:
Bounces occur when the receiving server either doesn't exist or cannot receive the email event. There are 2 types of bounces; hard bounces and soft bounces.
- Hard bounces occur when the email address being delivered to is invalid.
- Soft bounces occur when the server cannot receive the email event. The most common example would be that the recipient's inbox is full.
