Note: This is specific to brands using Aloha for their point of sale system
If while investigating guest complaints about receiving "Invalid Barcode" errors when scanning barcodes into the app from a specific location, there can be multiple Checksum errors on the guest's timelines as seen bellow.
- Please check the Locations barcode algorithm settings under Locations > POS > POS Type and make sure the location is set to Aloha (Secure).
- If it is set to Aloha this is an older barcode algorithm setting that is no longer supported. Changing this to Aloha (Secure) will resolve this issue.
