The segment type, Top N Guests At Each Location focuses on a ranking system of guests, not the actual number of guests.
Within this segment type, you must identify the number of "Max Guests" to identify for each location.
The below example shows relative to if a brand were to have only 1 location.

Guests performing the highest number of checkins (10 as per above) holds rank 1.
Guests performing the 2nd highest number of checkins (9 as per above) holds rank 2 and so on.
If there is more than 1 guest performing the same number of checkins, they will hold the same rank i.e. 5 guests performed 10 checkins, 4 guests performed 9 checkins and so on.
When using this segment, alongside the above mentioned functionality, you may see where the segment amount is greater than "your locations x max guests configured. "
