Punchh uses SendGrid for our Email delivery platform. In order to generate unique unsubscribe links for each guest, Punchh can utilize the replacement tag feature of SendGrid to generate the link when an email is delivered to a guest.
This is an optional feature and usage can vary depending on how your organization is creating Email Templates. If you're unsure how your organization is using unsubscribe links currently, reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more information.
If the unsubscribe link in your marketing emails are broken or not working, it could be due to the replacement tag being incorrect in your Email Template.
Ensure the replacement tag used in the template is "[unsubscribe]". If this is not an exact match, i.e. using uppercase, the URL will not work.
To check your unsubscribe link, open up the Email Template you're working with and go to the section containing the unsubscribe link. This will look different depending on whether you're using the New Email Editor or the old.
New Email Editor
Click on the link itself, then press the link button to bring up the link options:
Make sure the Link Type is set to "URL", and the URL is set to "[unsubscribe]"
Old Email Editor
Click on the link itself to bring up the Link Menu:
Here you will want to make sure the Protocol is set to "<other>" and the URL is "[unsubscribe]".
