If this happens with a deactivated recurring campaign, this is generally due to the duplicate campaigns not being deactivated. These need to deactivate manually along with the original campaign
If you select any Recurrence: dates for a campaign when you are building it. When the original campaign activates it immediately duplicates the original campaign x1 for each Recurrence: date and places these in the system in the background.
- These are set to begin processing on the dates selected for the recurrence at the specified time.
- To access these duplicates simply click on the dates in the Recurrence: tab in the campaign.
It is also a good idea to make sure the campaign schedule is deactivated. The schedules for the campaign can be found if you go to Support > Schedules > under Schedule Type > Mass Campaign Schedules. The campaign schedule from the list should be pink If this was properly deactivated.
