"Switchboard" is a phone in ordering service provided by Olo that allows guests to call in delivery and to-go-orders directly to Olo. Olo Switchboard agents place the orders through a web portal in their call center and this portal sends the orders to the POS at the restaurant.
Note: There are two conditions that need to take place in order for a customer that has placed an order via the "Switchboard" call center to earn points in Punchh.
- The guest needs to sign up on an Olo Desktop or Mobile Web Embed front-end before the "Switchboard" transaction then the "Mark this customer as a registered user" flag must be checked to buy the agent during the order.
- The guest needs to provide their email that is tied to a loyalty account when they call into "Switchboard".
Note: The other method for a guest to earn points on a Switchboard order, is for the Call Center agent marks these customers as a Guest User by not selecting "Mark this customer as a registered user" and that way the customer can scan a barcode on a receipt and earn points.
