If the Punchhconf.exe try's to open and immediately closes after running the PunchhAlohaSetup.exe this could be caused by 3 things:
- The Punchh endpoints are not passing the firewall at this site.
- The API key is not the same in Punchh and Aloha for this site.
- The store ID# for this Location is not the same in Punchh and Aloha for this site.
When running the Punchhconf.exe this program calls Punchh to download the correct installation files or updates for Aloha specific to the site running this program.
For matching purposes, the two key IDs Punchh looks for from the Aloha BOH computer at the install site is the store ID#. This is in the Punchh Platform Settings > Locations.
The store ID# located in the Punchh Platform must be added to Aloha.ini at this site for installation to proceed. the Aloha.ini will NOT have the Punchh API key. The Aloha.ini will only house the Aloha Site ID which we look for to make sure we have the right location, which, in turn, pulls down data from the server. The API key will populate in the PunchhConf and PunchhInter files.
