Some items will be sent from the POS as modifiers to products, such as bundles/combos, pizza toppings, burrito fillings or customizations to food or drink items.
When these items are sent to Punchh in receipts/transactions, they display differently than normal products and can be targeted/not targeted within a Line Item Selector. This enables you to precisely discount checks or disqualify certain items from redeemable eligibility.
- As in the photo above, the parent, or main, product will come through as a whole number(first product is 1, second product is 2, etc.) and modifiers for each product will be listed as decimals, based on the main product.
- Example: half no tomato and half honey wheat are references to the base product, and are listed as 1.1 and 1.2.
- You can target mods based on the product by adding the item ID to a Line Item Selector, and checking the box for "Include Modifiers with Base Items". This way if a customized sandwich is sent over on an order, and the mods have prices associated with them, the associated QC will affect the mods, as well.
