- In Punchh, from a referral campaign, a Guest is not a "Referrer" until the guest they have referred has checked in. This is the trigger for the referral campaign they are included in.
- A Guest can be a "Referee" even if they haven't checked in but have been referred. They are initiated into that status at the point that their profile is updated. Once they checkin, they also trigger the dependency in the referral campaign for the friend that referred them; making their friend a "Referrer" at the point of checkin.
