Spam signups in eClub can be mitigated by enabling Captcha for eClub signups.
If Captcha is enabled for these signups, it will prompt only when the user tries to submit multiple new accounts from the same source. This will stop bots and others from finding eClub widgets and creating spam accounts. Please note, Captcha will not prompt for a first time user creation or user login.
To enable Captcha for eClub signups, follow the steps below:
- Whitelabel > iFrame Configuration > eClub Widget
- Enable the "Enable Captcha for Signup?" flag
- Once updated, the reCaptcha protection should be present on the iFrame.
