Derived rewards are comprised of a list of redeemables and points gifts. Due to this, the first step in creating a derived reward set is to create all of the redeemables you'll be adding to it. Redeemables in a Surprise Set Derived Reward is awarded based on a defined percentage probability.
Once you've got all your redeemables ready, follow the steps below to create a new derived reward using a Surprise Set:
-
Navigate to Settings > Derived Rewards and click the New Derived Reward button.
- Choose a Name for the Derived Reward, and leave the Conditional Gifting toggle disabled.
-
Click the Select gift type drop-down to select Gift Redeemable, Gift Points, or No Reward.
-
If Gift Redeemable, click the next drop-down and select a redeemable from the list.
-
If Gift Points, enter the number of points to be awarded in the middle field.
-
-
In the Weight field, enter a value 1-100 to express the percentage probability that this gift will be awarded when a guest matches the associated campaign qualification (or the reward is triggered without a QC).
-
If you want to set it so that there is a chance the guest will not receive a reward, select No Reward from the Select gift type drop-down and set its percentage.
-
Repeat this process for each redeemable/gift points to be added, until the total percentage value adds up to 100.
-
Click Save once finished.
Your derived reward's total percentage value must add up to 100, no more no less. Otherwise, you will receive the following error message, preventing you from creating the set until fixed:
