If guests are able to earn on receipts that aren't finalized, the business may want to enable a Pending Checkin Strategy for the channel (usually POS) that guests are able to earn on , without necessarily having to pay or finalize the receipt.
With the Pending Checkin Strategy, the system can check the receipt after a configured time delay (example, 60 minutes), and then apply the checkin to the updated/ finalized version of the receipt. This helps prevent unauthorized earning on receipts that may never be finalized or paid for.
