When sending out a campaign you have the option to select a specific segment, location or favorite location as the audience type. Selecting location or favorite location may seem as if guests who have marked a specific location as their favorite will be targeted, but these two audience types are based on loyalty check-ins performed at the location or location group selected.
For this example, the audience type is set to 'User Favorite Location' and we are targeting guests who have performed a check-in at location C. The guests have their favorite locations selected as location E and G.
With audience type set to 'Location' if the guests whose favorite locations are location E & G, the location audience type is targeting guests who have performed a checkin at location C. Even though locations E and G are their favorite locations because the checkin occurred at location C the guests do not fall into the campaign.
