When sending out a Campaign you have the option to select a specific Segment, Location or Favorite Location as the Audience Type. Selecting Location or Favorite Location may seem as if Guests who have marked a specific location as their favorite will be targeted, but these two Audience Types are based on Loyalty Check-ins performed at the Location or Location Group selected.
For this example, The Audience Type is set to User Favorite Location and we are targeting Guests who have performed a Checkin at Location C. The Guests have their Favorite Locations selected as Location E and G.
With Audience Type set to Location if the Guests whose Favorite Locations are Location E & G, the Location Audience Type is targeting Guests who have performed a Checkin at Location C. Even though Locations E and G are their Favorite Locations because the Checkin occurred at Location C the Guests do not fall into the Campaign.
- Once a Checkin is performed at Location C the Guest qualifies for the Campaign.
