When sending out a Campaign you have the option to select a specific Segment, Location or Favorite Location as the Audience Type. Selecting Location or Favorite Location may seem as if Guests who have marked a specific location as their favorite will be targeted, but these two Audience Types are based on Loyalty Checkins performed at the Location or Location Group selected.
For this example, The Audience Type is set to User Favorite Location and we are targeting Guests who have performed a Checkin at Location C. The Guests have their Favorite Locations selected as Location E and G.
With Audience Type set to Location if the Guests whose Favorite Locations are Location E & G, the Location Audience Type is targeting Guests who have performed a Checkin at Location C. Even though Locations E and G are their Favorite Locations because the Checkin occurred at Location C the Guests do not fall into the Campaign.
- Once a Checkin is performed at Location C the Guest qualifies for the Campaign.
