Segments are one of the most important parts of a Campaign because these are the tools used in order to target specific Guests. At times you may use a Complex Segment to specifically target Guests, for example:
- Guests who have signed up in the Last 30 Days (Complex Part A)
- Guest who haven't checked in the Last 30 Days (Complex Part B)
Using the NOT INCLUDING Operator to combine these into a Complex Segment means the Guests must fall into Complex Part A but not Complex Part B. For example,
- Bob signed up 80 days ago and checked In 18 days ago
- Bob does not fall into Complex Part A so is not included in the Complex Segment
- Jane signed up 5 days ago and checked in 45 days ago
- Jane falls into Complex Part A but not in Complex Part B so is included in the Complex Segment
- Charlie signed up 7 days ago and checked in 1 day ago
- Charlie falls into Complex Part A and Complex Part B so is not included in the Complex Segment
