When sending out a campaign you have the option to select a specific segment, location or favorite location as the audience type. Selecting location or favorite location may seem as if guests who have marked a specific location as their favorite will be targeted, but these two audience types are based on loyalty check-ins performed at the location or location group selected.
For this example, the audience type is set to location and we are targeting guests who have performed a check-in at location A. The guests have their favorite locations selected as location E and G.
With audience type set to location if the guests whose favorite locations are location E & G, the location audience type is targeting guests who have performed a check-in at location A. Even though location A is not their favorite location if a check-in is performed the guests will qualify for the campaign.
- Once a check-in is performed at location A the guest qualifies for the campaign.
