When the redemption amount requested is more than the subtotal amount, the redemption response will display 'Redemption not possible since amount is 0.'
1. In the Punchh dashboard, navigate to Support > Redemption Log
2. Enter the redemption code that was applied on the check
3. You will see a similar message in the response:
In this scenario, when this redemption was applied the subtotal amount is coming across as -2.36. However, the redemption amount going to be more than $0. This can happen due to some modifications on the check that caused the subtotal amount to be negative.
In this situation, as the redemption was requested at this point but never applied to the check technically, on the guest's timeline, 'Expired Redemption' activity will be seen. The reward will be credited back to the guest's account based on the settings of the business.
