If you ever run across a redeemable that shows an extremely long expiration time for when the redemption code is generated, you will want to check a certain area within the redeemable's set up in Dashboard. To get to the correct section in the redeemable following the steps below:
1. Click "Settings>Redeemables"
2. Find the specific redeemable in the list that comes up and then click it
3. Click the blue "Next" button in the lower right corner of the screen to get to the next screen
Inside each redeemable you will see a checkbox called "Allow Redemption Code expiry on Reward's end date?" right below a field called "Countdown Expiry (In Mins)".
If the "Countdown Expiry (In Mins)" is blank and the "Allow Redemption Code expiry on Reward's end date" checkbox is checked then when the customer goes to generate a code for the specific redeemable on their device for redemption it will have an expiration of 500+ hours.
*Best Practice: Have a value entered in the "Countdown Expiry (In Mins)" field and leave the "Allow Redemption Code expiry on Reward's end date?" checkbox unchecked.
