When the cashier is not assigned to the cash drawer, Aloha will prevent the comp to be applied to the check. As a result, the following error message will be displayed on the POS:
This error can also be found in the AlohaPunchh*.log where * = date (e.g. 20170214). These logs are in the Aloha bootdrv directory on the terminals, usually like one of these below:

c:\alohaqs\tmp
The following lines in the logs will help show the error:
2018-02-07 17:19:01,650 INFO AlohaPunchh: The Punch Comp was NOT applied. Reason: Employee not assigned to drawer. no: -1073315810
2018-02-07 17:19:01,651 DEBUG AlohaPunchh: Failure of Punchh Redemption code received. Attempting to void Redeem code.
When this occurs, the steps to resolve are:
- Assign employee to drawer
- Ask guest to generate new code because the redemption code is no longer valid
- Re-Apply it to the check.
