This error typically happens where server couldn't determine the location of guest or the bar code was invalid. This is usually due to a connectivity or response time issue.
We have three way to determine the location
- By looking the barcode in ISL (Receipt Store Database).
- If above fails then we try to find location using checksum (which is used to create barcode).
- If above also fails then we try to find location using Lat Long if present.
This may be an intermittent issue. However; if the same location is reporting the issue, please ensure that all your Punchh and POS systems are properly communicating.
