Post Check-in Messages campaigns are a great way to maintain a connection with your guests after they've made a purchase at one of your stores.
To create a new Post Check-in Message campaign:
- Navigate to Campaigns > Campaigns in your left-hand navigation toolbar.
- Click the Message drop-down tab and select Post Checkin Message.
- Click the blue New Campaign button on the right to open the 3-step new campaign wizard, as detailed below.
Step 1: What
- Create a name; Gift Type and Gift Reason
- Click the Next button to move on to Step 2.
Step 2 – Whom
- Configure campaign settings such as audience targeting, qualification criteria, gifting frequency, and other options as described in the section below. Depending on your subscription to Punchh added modules, you may not see all of these settings.
- Add Messaging for each of the notification types you want to send:
- For Push Notifications
For SMS Message
For Email Message
- For Push Notifications
- Once finished crafting your messaging, click Next to move on to Step 3
Step 3 – When
- Select a Start Date and End Date for your campaign.
These dates are based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), formerly known as Greenwich Mean Time. - In the Execution Delay field, enter the time (in minutes) that will pass post-checkin before a guest receives the message.
This delay is useful for ensuring that the guest is no longer in the store when they receive their message, so they'll be tempted to return. - Once you've finished with scheduling, you have two choices for finalizing your new campaign:
- Click Activate to save and schedule your campaign to go live at your scheduled start date (or immediately if your start date is today).
- Click Finish to save your campaign as a draft. Saving as a draft allows you to edit your campaign at a later date (and gives you the opportunity for approval by other members on your team, if required). Highly recommended to test first
Please Note: Post Checkin Campaigns are based on receipt time
We want the clock to start as soon as a guest has made a purchase, so all Post Checkin campaigns are based on receipt time, rather than scan time. So if your business is not set up for check ins at the POS, these types of campaigns won't be quite as effective.
