The 'No response to Message' error is displayed when the Punchh Interface in Micros is misconfigured. As a result of which, Micros is unable to communicate to Punchh.
Indications:
1. In the Punchh Platform, the location under the POS scoreboard will be red indicating no data is sent from the site
2. While attempting to redeem on the POS, 'No Response to Message' error will be displayed
In order to resolve this, login to POS Configurator on the Micros Back office Computer and follow the steps below:
- On the POS Configurator window, navigate to Devices > Network Node
- Note the Back Office(BOH) Computer Name and close the Network Node window
NOTE: BOH is usually, if not always, is 99 - On the POS Configurator window, navigate to Devices > Interfaces
- Find 'Punchh' in the list of defined interfaces
- After selecting Punchh, navigate to the 'Interface' tab on the right
- Enter the TCP server name
- The TCP server name should be exactly same as the Back Office(BOH) Computer Name noted in step 2
- After saving these changes, reload the database or restart the Back office computer
- Wait for 5 minutes after reloading or restarting
- Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Punchh\Logs and open the most recent log (eg.: YYYY-MMDD-00001.log)
- Search for PING from Micros
- You should be able to see PING from Micros every 5 minutes
EXAMPLE: 1/9/2019 12:04:12 AM [Information]: PING from Micros
NOTE: This shows that Micros is communicating to Punchh - Run a test transaction and you should be able to redeem successfully now
- After the running the test transaction, in the Punchh Platform, the location on the POS scoreboard will turn green indicating we are successfully receiving data from the location
