Guests who have not downloaded the new app are still in the system, and they can be assigned by their name through advanced search.
While their credit card is processing it recognized them and automatically assigned them to a ticket. It even " finalized the ticket" at the end.
This happened due to the cashier performing an advanced search.
An advanced search references the OLD NCR internal database which is different than the Punchh database. If the guest has not installed Punchh correctly yet, they can still be found in the advanced search. Also, a credit card may still find a customer, but this does not result in loyalty and the earn and redeem on this guest.
