If you see a disapproved location on a guests timeline, this can happen for two reasons:
1. The location has been disapproved, but is still being used for testing.
2. Accidental selection at POS (human error)
To completely disallow loyalty checkin's for a single location to avoid the above behavior you can go to
Dashboard > Locations > search "Name of disapproved location" in search tab > click on location operations tab > click on "enable for loyalty checkins"
Note. You'll get a message that asks you if you want to "Enable the location again", think of this like two positives equal a negative.
Once you allow the change, the location will show a empty check mark with an option to disable as shown below, which means Loyalty checkin's are no longer enabled for this location:
