Features
Punchh is a web based loyalty platform that allows users to accrue points and loyalty reward dollars as well as use customized rewards in SpeedLine. Below are some facts and features about Punchh.
Punchh is web based and does not require third party software outside of the SpeedLine POS
There are no loyalty cards with Punchh. Punchh allows you to accrue and redeem rewards that can be branded for the store through an app
Punchh users can create their own customized personal redemption codes in the Punchh app or on the Punchh website. These codes can be used in store in place of the Punchh app
All customer accounts are located on the Punchh servers
If you forget your Punchh app. SpeedLine will print a barcode – generated by Punchh – at the bottom of the ticket that can be redeemed later in the app or on the website
Punchh has a store and forward mode where it creates a ticket with a barcode that is later submitted when the connection to the Punchh server is reestablished
Point Accrual
Point accrual is done on the Punchh side and is based on the dollar amount spent in SpeedLine. Vendors determine the number of points and rewards dollars given per dollar spent. If a customer at a store doesn't have access to the app, a barcode is printed on the ticket and can be used to accrue points manually for the next 24 hours
Reward Redemption
Rewards can be redeemed simply by accessing the loyalty screen in Terminal. Rewards redeemed are always determined by Punchh and are always applied as a dollar discount on the ticket.
A loyalty account can be accessed in 3 places in Terminal:
On the Customer screen by touching Loyalty. This method is generally used for delivery orders
On the Full Review screen by selecting the Loyalty line on the ticket and touching Edit, or by waiting for the loyalty card prompt, if enabled
On the User screen by touching Loyalty. This method does not apply the loyalty account to the next order entered, so is generally used only to check loyalty account balances
Once you have accessed the loyalty screen you can access the Punchh account by doing the following
Scan the QR code from the app
Enter the customer's phone number. (Does not allow redemptions, as it's possible to give someone else's phone number.)
Enter an email address. (Does not allow redemptions, as it's possible to give someone else's email address.)
Enter a custom redemption code
Punch rewards available will be listed in the Loyalty reward screen. Custom redemption codes can be created for a set dollar amount on the Punchh website then used in store.
